CULICY
Community Guidelines
Effective Date: 22 May 2026 | Version 1.0.0 Public Release
A safe, respectful kitchen for real food, real recipes, and good edible dishes.
|
THE CULICY STANDARD Culicy is a culinary community. Posts must be about food, cooking, recipes, ingredients, meal planning, or safe eating experiences. Content that is not culinary, not edible, unsafe, spammy, abusive, or posted in bad faith may be removed. Serious or repeated violations may lead to permanent account suspension. |
Welcome to Culicy. These Community Guidelines explain what members may share, what is not allowed, and how Culicy moderates the community. Our goal is to keep Culicy useful, safe, respectful, and focused on food. Every member is expected to follow these Guidelines, our Terms of Service, and applicable law.
1. The Food-Only Rule
Culicy is not a general social-media platform. It is a cooking, recipe, and meal-planning community. Every post, comment, image, caption, and profile activity in the community must have a clear culinary purpose.
• Allowed focus: edible dishes, recipes, meal plans, cooking methods, ingredients, food culture, plating, kitchen tips, and constructive recipe discussion.
• Not allowed: unrelated lifestyle content, politics, religion, news debates, memes, personal rants, dating content, general selfies, or non-food social-media posts.
• Simple test: if the content does not help people cook, eat, plan, learn, or discuss food, it does not belong in Culicy.
2. What You Can Share
✓ Original recipes you created, tested, or meaningfully adapted.
✓ Photos or videos of dishes you actually cooked or are preparing to cook.
✓ Good edible dishes presented honestly, with reasonable food-safety awareness.
✓ Meal plans, weekly menus, grocery ideas, pantry-use ideas, and cooking workflows.
✓ Ingredient substitutions, dietary adaptations, and allergen-aware suggestions.
✓ Cooking tips, techniques, kitchen hacks, plating, presentation, and food-styling ideas.
✓ Respectful cultural or regional dishes with proper context and appreciation.
✓ Helpful questions and constructive comments about recipes, ingredients, or cooking methods.
✓ AI-assisted recipes created with Culicy, if you review, edit, and verify them before sharing as tested content.
3. Only Safe, Edible, Good-Faith Food Content
Members should share food that is intended to be safely eaten. Culicy does not allow prank dishes, intentionally disgusting content, fake recipes, unsafe food instructions, or posts designed to shock, mislead, or harm other users.
✕ Do not post non-edible items presented as food.
✕ Do not post recipes involving poisonous, contaminated, spoiled, or unsafe ingredients.
✕ Do not encourage dangerous cooking practices, unsafe fermentation, unsafe canning, or wild-ingredient use without strong safety warnings.
✕ Do not post extreme diet, detox, starvation, or eating-disorder content.
✕ Do not present recipes as cures, treatments, or replacements for medical advice.
✕ Do not upload content that is gross-out, shock, violent, sexual, or graphic, even if food is visible.
✕ Do not mislabel allergens or hide important ingredient information when you know it matters.
|
ALLERGEN HONESTY If you know a recipe contains common allergens such as nuts, dairy, gluten, shellfish, eggs, soy, sesame, or peanuts, mention it clearly. Members must still verify ingredients themselves. Culicy is not responsible for allergic reactions or outcomes from user-shared or AI-generated content. |
4. What You Must Not Share
4.1 Off-topic or low-quality content
✕ Anything unrelated to food, recipes, cooking, ingredients, meal planning, or culinary experiences.
✕ Incomplete, joke, nonsense, copied, misleading, or fake recipes.
✕ Posts made only to farm attention, provoke others, or flood the feed.
✕ Repeated duplicate content or bulk posting.
4.2 Spam, ads, and self-promotion
✕ Advertisements, sales pitches, affiliate links, referral codes, or promotional offers.
✕ External links posted mainly to drive traffic, followers, purchases, or signups.
✕ Selling food, services, courses, products, or business offers through the community without Culicy’s written permission.
✕ Impersonating brands, restaurants, chefs, creators, or Culicy staff.
4.3 Harmful, abusive, illegal, or unsafe content
✕ Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, discrimination, or abusive language.
✕ Sexual, violent, graphic, illegal, or exploitative content.
✕ Sharing someone else’s private information without consent.
✕ Copyright infringement, including copying recipes or images word-for-word from creators, cookbooks, websites, or brands without permission.
✕ Content involving alcohol or substances directed at minors.
✕ Any activity that breaks the law or encourages others to break the law.
5. Recipe and Dish Quality Standards
• Use a clear, descriptive recipe or dish title.
• List key ingredients with reasonable quantities where possible.
• Give clear steps or context so others can understand the dish.
• Use your own photos or content you have permission to use.
• Credit inspiration when a recipe is adapted from another creator.
• Label dietary claims honestly, such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, high-protein, or contains nuts.
• Do not claim a dish is safe for allergies, children, pregnancy, medical diets, or health conditions unless you are qualified and have clear evidence.
• Do not post AI output as “tested” unless you actually verified it.
6. AI-Assisted Content
Culicy includes AI tools, but the community must remain human-quality and food-safe. You may share AI-assisted ideas only when they are reviewed, edited, and useful for real cooking.
• You may share recipes you developed with Culicy AI help.
• You must review ingredients, quantities, allergens, and cooking steps before sharing.
• Do not spam the community with large volumes of unedited AI output.
• Do not use AI to generate harmful, misleading, medical, illegal, or abusive content.
• Culicy may label, limit, remove, or restrict AI-generated community content that lowers quality or safety.
7. Respect Other Members
✓ Be constructive. Critique the recipe, not the person.
✓ Help beginners with patience and kindness.
✓ Respect cultural dishes, regional traditions, and different dietary choices.
✓ Avoid gatekeeping, mocking, shaming, dogpiling, or starting arguments.
✓ Do not use comments to harass, flirt, insult, promote, or target members.
8. Reporting and Moderation
Members can report content, comments, or profiles that appear to break these Guidelines. Reports are reviewed through automated tools and/or human review where appropriate. We aim to be fair, but protecting food safety, community quality, and user trust comes first.

9. Your Content and Ownership
You own the recipes, images, and content you post. By posting in Culicy, you grant Culicy a licence to display, host, distribute, moderate, and promote your content inside the Service, as described in our Terms of Service. You are responsible for having the rights to share your content. You can delete your posts where app functionality allows, subject to legal, safety, moderation, or backup retention requirements.
10. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as Culicy grows, as our safety practices improve, or as legal requirements change. Material changes may be announced in the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of Culicy after changes take effect means you accept the updated Guidelines.
